The Spring Break Tuner Bash, presented by Toyo Tires, rolled into South Padre Island for the second year in a row, and definitely didn’t disappoint. Tuner Bash offered a Dyno Challenge for the horsepower-heads, an awesome and diverse car show for the fans, and a rather revealing bikini contest was just the beginning. Along with the activities of the two day event, vendors such as Toyo Tires, GM, NGK, and Black Magic came out to support the show. Cars from all over Texas came to show off what they had to grab the coveted Best of Show honors and a $1,000 check.
GM showed off an impressive array of cars including the new Solstice, HHR and Cobalt in tuner-ready form.
As a last-minute entry on Saturday, this 350z sporting twin turbos, a widebody kit and a complete ICE system with dual carbon-fiber nitrous bottles wowed the crowd and the import showoff judges as it went home with the best of show award.
You couldn’t help but notice this wild Mastergrade widebody Honda S2000. We noticed him sporting the ride up and down Padre’s streets trying to catch a glimpse from the ladies. Be sure to look out for his Super Street feature in the near future as well.
Other notable cars include a crazy tribal graphics theme Acura Integra from Baliztik that took home awards, as well as a 350z sporting a Stillen Stage 4 supercharger. We also saw Underground Graphics’ Subaru STi owned by Greg Lilly.
Coupled with the hot cars were even hotter girls from Chicago and Texas, the girls got down and dirty on the stage. They partied hard, and some were a bit tipsy on stage, but they kept the crowd entertained as they ripped off their t-shirts and laid it all out for the cash prize. In the end, Toyo Tires model Mercedes Terrell took home the first place prize on Sunday and a $1,000 check.
